Travel the World Through Your Taste Buds: Time to Say Goodbye

Travel the World Through Your Taste Buds: Time to Say Goodbye

Our journey is sadly coming to an end, but before we all head back home I wanted to make one last dish for everyone.

Where are we going?

We are headed to the airport, but we are stopping off at a small street side cafe for a delicious Moroccan dessert before we go. Morocco is not known for its desserts so I really had to go searching to find a good dessert for our final meal together. Traditionally you would have some Moroccan mint tea as dessert, however while on my trip through Morocco I was sent to the hospital and was told no more mint tea for me, which meant I was not going to make that for you here.

What are we making?

We are making spicy roasted red plums. These were really easy to make and were incredibly delicious! I replaced the regular apple juice in the recipe with an apple cider to add another layer of spice and flavor to the dish. The sour cream dollop in the middle with the toasted almonds really elevated the plums to another level. I would recommend this to anyone to try and as a bonus it is diabetic friendly!

Now it is time to say goodbye but never forget
