Poetry Exercise 2

  1. The way the author uses descriptive language really takes you into the room that her daughter is making bread in, it makes you feel the dough and smell the flour on the board. The parallels between puberty and making bread also made a powerful image.
  2. My favorite meal is buffalo chicken dip that my mom makes. It takes about 2 hours, shredded chicken breast into a crockpot with blue cheese dressing, cream cheese, blue cheese crumbles, and buffalo sauce. It comes out creamy, warm, and delicious.
  3. Eating is hard, mouth full after mouthful of food

Having to chew and swallow each bite with no reward or desire to

Most things are tasteless, bland pieces of texture

It can be my favorite food in the world and swallowing it

Becomes the most difficult task ever imagined
